WATCH THE TRAILER FOR THE COMPUTER ACCENT
Last week Screen Rant took a break from relentlessly posting about Marvel news and industry acquisitions to officially premiere the trailer for our new documentary, The Computer Accent, briefly boosting your humble correspondents into the big leagues—out of place, as always.
If you haven’t caught the trailer yet, watch it here! You’ll catch glimpses of baby bleach-head Jona wailing in his teenage punk band, plus deep conversations with research scientists and epic studio struggles.
NEXT WEEK: NEW YORK SCREENINGS & WE PARTY IN BROOKLYN
We’re touring the film around the US over the next few months. If you’re in New York, join us at Dimes Square arthouse cinema, Metrograph, where the film has a weekend run October 21st-23rd. We’ll be there in person hosting special conversations at each screening with thinkers, filmmakers, and friends, including Runway founder Cristóbal Valenzuela, The Computer Accent directors Riel Roch-Decter and Sebastian Pardo, and filmmaker Theo Anthony, director of All Light, Everywhere and RAT FILM. Our time in New York culminates in our first live show in New York in over two years at the gorgeous and impeccably loud Public Records in Brooklyn on October 23rd.
THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST: JUST IN TIME FOR TWIN PEAKS SEASON
We’re headed back to our home turf in the Pacific Northwest for three very special events at three special places: The Whitsell Auditorium at The Portland Art Museum, The Pickford Film Center in Bellingham, and the cultural force at the bottom of the Space Needle, The Vera Project. We’ll be screening the film at all three of these events, and playing live in Portland and Seattle. Be there, be square, tell your friends, invite your family, and come as you are.
WHATEVER COULD BE NEXT?
We’ll send another dispatch next month, detailing not only our upcoming run of screenings in Los Angeles, but also early intel about our upcoming single and the incredible short film we’ve been hard at work completing. It’s killing us keeping it from you. Good lord, we hope it feels as big to you as it does to us!
Love,
YACHT
